INE policy regarding Twitter

The Twitter account of the Spanish National Statistics Institute @es_INE, is managed by the General Statistical Dissemination Subdirectorate.

The tweets are complied and published exclusively by the INE team. Automated systems are not used in generating content in this channel.

Tweets are generally published at three points during the morning: at 9:00, with a focus on short-term statistical operations; at 11:00 for structural statistical operations; and at 12:30 for announcing publications, magazines and news regarding products and services.

The content disseminated through the INE account is mostly:

• 1. Results from short-term and structural statistical operations.
• 2. Press releases not corresponding to operations.
• 3. Publications calendar announcements.
• 4. INE publications.
• 5. Promotion of services provided by the INE and new audiovisual content.
• 6. Relevant news in a section of the website.

The INE would like to thanks all its users for their following, in particular those disseminating official statistics via their shares and retweets. The INE likewise appreciates comments, suggestions and queries, although it would like to point out that the INE Twitter channel is not designed for dealing with this sort of query. These will always be addressed via the InfoINE email form.
