Creation of a Query
In order to query Agrarian Census it is necessary to carry out the following steps:
1.1
Action selection
This action enables choosing what to do: “Create tables”, in other words, generate a query via a wizard, “My personal area”, which enables recovery of queries or customised filters which you may have saved beforehand, or “See list of tables”, which displays a drop-down list with possible previously defined queries.
1.2 Select Information Area
This new execution step will enable us to select the information domain that we wish to use. The areas of information are: l General Features General Features Tenancy regime Caracteristics of the Holder Characteristics of the Operation Manager l Type of Crop l Type of Livestock l Workforce: General Features Workforce l Other features: Renewable Energy Rural Development Organic Farming Organic Livestock In order to select any of the information areas, please select the name displayed in the tab or in their drop-down menus. 1.3
Selection of information
Once the information area or statistical source have been selected, it is necessary to select the information you wish to display from the statistical source selected. 1.3.1
General Features
The query options referring to the General Features when this area of information has been selected are displayed below. 1.3.1.1 Selection of the National geographical scope
In order to activate this case, please select the tab. Performing this action will display the query for all the data on a national level.
PIn order to continue, please click “Accept selection”. 1.3.1.2 Selection of the Autonomous Community geographical scope
In order to activate this case, please select the tab . Within the window there is an “Available Communities” selector, showing the Communities currently registered, and another called “Communities selected”, with those chosen by the user. oving Communities from one selector to another is done using arrows: , in order to remove elements selected from “Communities Selected” and , in order to move elements selected from "Available Communities" to “Communities Selected”.
1.3.1.3 Selection of the Provinces geographical scope
In order to activate this case, please select the tab . Within the new window there is a “Communities” selector, showing the Communities currently selected, another “Available Provinces” selector, displaying the available provinces according to the Community selected and another called “Provinces selected”, with the provinces chosen by the user. Moving provinces from one selector to another is done using arrows: , in order to remove elements selected from “Provinces Selected” and , in order to remove elements selected from “Provinces Selected” and , in order to move elements selected from "Available Provinces" to “Provinces Selected”.
Once the desired provinces have been chosen, you need only click “Accept Selection” in order to apply the changes. 1.3.1.4 Selection of the Regions geographical scope
In order to activate this case, please select the tab . There then appears a new window in which there is a selector called “Autonomous Communities”, which displays the Communities currently registered, another “Provinces” selector, displaying the available provinces depending on the selection of Community, another selector “Regions” displaying the municipalities available depending on the province selected and another called “Regions selected”, with those which the user has selected. Moving regions from one selector to another is done using arrows: , in order to remove elements selected from “Provinces Selected” and , in order to move elements selected from "Available Provinces" to “Provinces Selected”.
Once the desired regions have been chosen, you need only click “Accept Selection” in order to apply the changes. 1.3.1.5
Selection of the Municipalities geographical scope
In order to activate this case, please select the tab. There then appears a new window in which there is a selector called “Autonomous Communities”, which displays the Communities currently registered, another “Provinces” selector, displaying the available provinces depending on the selection of Community, another selector “Regions” displaying the regions available depending on the province selected and another called “Municipalities selected”, with those which the user has selected. Moving periods from one selector to another is done using arrows: , in order to remove elements selected from “Municipalities Selected” and , in order to move elements selected from "Available Municipalities” to “Municipalities Selected”.
Once the desired regions have been chosen, you need only click “Accept Selection” in order to apply the changes. 1.4 Structure of the table
The function of this window is to select the group of variables to be displayed in the query, their position and what measure will be used in order to display the data. There are different areas within this window: l Tree with the whole group of available variables for displaying the query, organised by demographic variables and geographic variables. l Row Selector, containing the group of variables arranged as rows in the query to be made. In order to insert new variables in rows, selecte a variable from the tree and then use the arrow to place them in rows. In order to remove a variable from the row position, use the arrow . To order variables in rows, you may use up and down arrows if you wish. l Column Selector, containing the group of variables arranged as columns in the query to be made. In order to insert new variables in columns, select a variable from the tree and then use the arrow to place them in columns. In order to remove a variable from the row position, use the arrow . To order variables in rows, you may use up and down arrows if you wish. l Selector of Measurement units, which contains the group of units of measurement available with which data will be displayed. One or more measurement units may be selected . Please bear in mind: l There must be at least one variable in rows and one variable in columns l The maximum number of rows and columns is limited.
In order to run the query and display the data, click “See table”. 1.5 Filters
The funcionality of this window is the establishing of filters to be applied to the query. It may only be filtered by more than one value in those columns or rows selected, otherwise it may only be filtered by 1 value. There are different areas within this window: l Tree with the whole group of available variables for filtering the information, organised by demographic variables and geographic variables. l Available Filtering Selector, which displays the values contained in the variable selected in the tree. Those values are the ones available for filtering the query for each of the variables. Please bear in mind that by selecting one of the values and clicking, it is possible to go down or up in the variable hierarchy to go up or down in the hierarchy. l Current Filtering Selector, which displays the values contained in the variables from the tree selected as a filter. It is possible to enter new values in the filter by clicking, or removing values from the filter by clicking .
1.6 Query
This window presents the query formed via the preceding steps. Table of data All the conditions % of filter. Above this, there is a panel with the different options to apply to the current query. In order to find out more about the functionality of this panel, go toir a “Graphs and Exporting”. In turn, the different possibilities for interacting with the table are described in “Query Possibilities”. Additionally, the option is available to “Paginate Results”, which will display the results of the table on different pages rather than on a single one. This option will be useful when there is a large number of rows and columns to display. Likewise the option is available to “Modifiy table”, which makes it possible to return to the table structure window holding the values already selected in rows, columns and filters.
1.7 Contextual information
In the different windows “Table structure”, “Filters” and in the query display window, there are a number of boxes showing the selections made.
The table contains: l Geographical scope – Shows the geographical scope (Communities,Municipalities, Census Sections, etc.) of the geographical filters selected. l Rows – Dimensions selected within the structure as rows window. l Columns – Dimensions selected within the structure window as rows. l Filters – Summary of the filters selected in the Filters window. l Measurement Units- Shows what measurement units are being used in this query. 1.8 Help and glossary
