Definition

Elements, devices or equipment that are used to increase, maintain or improve the functioning of persons in any activity (wheelchairs, canes, walkers, motorised scooters, hearing aids, special readers or the use of large print or Brailler, adapted telephones or computers). This does not include adaptations in building architecture, such as ramps, banisters, handrails, or adapted restrooms.
