- In March, 213,557 properties were registered in the property registers, 29.0% more than in the same month the previous year.
- The number of registered property sales and purchases increased by 40.6% compared with March 2024.
The number of property transfers recorded in the property registers (from previously executed public deeds) in March was 213,557, which was 29.0% more than in the same month in 2024.
As regards registered property sales, the number of transfers was 121,123, an annual increase of 37.4%.

El 87,1% de las compraventas registradas en marzo correspondieron a fincas urbanas y el 12,9% a rústicas. En el caso de las urbanas, el 59,6% fueron compraventas de viviendas.
El número de compraventas de fincas rústicas aumentó un 27,3% en marzo en tasa anual y el de fincas urbanas un 39,0%. Dentro de estas últimas, las compraventas de viviendas registraron un incremento anual del 40,6%.
93.2% of the housing transferred by sale in March were open market and 6.8% were protected.
In annual terms, the number of homes transferred by sale increased by 41.0% and the number of social housing dwellings by 35.8%.
23.2% of the housing transferred by sale in March were new and 76.8% were used.
The number of new home transactions increased by 64.2% compared with March 2024 and the number of used ones by 34.8%.
Castilla-La Mancha (46.0%%), Cataluña (42.3%) and Región de Murcia (39.4%) recorded the highest annual rates of change in the total number of properties transferred in March.
In turn, and Canarias (5.9%), Comunidad Foral de Navarra (14.6%) and Comunitat Valenciana (14.8%) recorded the lowest annual rates.
Regarding registered home sales and purchases, the Autonomous Communities with the highest increases were Castilla y León (66.1%), País Vasco (65.1%) and Extremadura (62.7%).
Meanwhile, Comunidad Foral de Navarra (-7.9%) was the only Autonomous Community to record a negative annual rate.

All information on transfers of property is taken from the information contained in the Land Registers for the whole country, by virtue of a partnership agreement signed in 2004 by both institutions.
