The Industrial Turnover Index (ITI), once adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, showed in February a variation of 0.5% as compared with the same month of the previous year.
The ITI original series registered an annual variation of 1.7%.

By market, negative annual rates were observed in one of the analysed markets in February. It is worth noting the increase registered in the domestic market (2.5%).

The monthly variation of the seasonally and calendar adjusted Total Industrial Turnover Index between the months of February and January, stood at 1.1%. This rate was almost a point higher than the previous month.

By Main Industrial Groupings (MIGs), all sectors showed positive monthly rates. It is worth highlighting the increase in Capital goods (3.0%), followed by Energy (2.9%).
Turnover increased as compared to February 2023 in 11 Autonomous Communities and decreased in the other six.
The largest increases were recorded in Illes Balears (15.1%), Andalucía (13.8%) and Canarias (8.5%).
The largest decreases were recorded in País Vasco (-10.0%), Principado de Asturias (-8.2%) and Cantabria (-2.9%).

On the press release day, INE has updated ITI data series corresponding to the last 13 months. In the case of calendar adjusted and seasonally and calendar adjusted series, according to INE standard, series are revised since its beginning. Results are available at INEBase.
