Em média, foi mais elevado em Portugal, que, considerando as duas décadas, registou 1,37 filhos por mulher, contra 1,31 em Espanha. Registe-se também que a Espanha apresentou no último ano da série o seu valor mais baixo: 1,19 filhos por mulher. INDICADOR COYUNTURAL DE FECUNDIDAD (HIJOS POR MUJER) El Indicador Coyuntural de Fecundidad (nº medio de hijos por mujer) evolucionó en direcciones diferentes en los dos países en el periodo 20012020. De media, fue mayor en Portugal, que, considerando las dos décadas, registró 1,37 hijos por mujer, frente a 1,31 en España. También hay que señalar que España presentó en el último año de la serie su valor más bajo: 1,19 hijos por mujer.
