Inventories of goods or services that comprise: - Work in progress: Goods or services being formed or transformed in an activity centre. - Semi-finished goods: Products manufactured by the company and not normally sold until they are subject to further preparation, incorporation or transformation. - Finished goods: Goods manufactured by the company for use by end consumers or by other companies. - By-products: Secondary or incidental products resulting from primary manufacturing. - Waste: Materials inevitably obtained in conjunction with products and by-products, providing they have intrinsic value and can be used or sold. - Recovered materials: Materials which, on the basis of their intrinsic value, are returned to storage after having been used in the production process.
