Labour Price Index (LPI). Base 2016. Year 2023

The Labour Price Index rose by 2.4% in 2023. The activity that recorded the highest increase was Mining and quarrying industries (4.5%). Comunidad Foral de Navarra recorded the highest increase (5.2%) and Illes Balears the largest decrease (-3.6%).

The Labour Price Index (IPT) is a continuous annually statistical operation aimed at measuring the change in the price of labour over time resulting solely as a result of labour market pressures, i.e. without the measurement being affected by changes in the quality and quantity of work done.
It is prepared from data provided by the Wage Structure Surveys (annual and quadrennial).
Disaggregated indices base 2008 are prepared for the different variables associated with the workplace and the worker.
