Works that will be carried out in the year 2009
The quarterly calculation of the estimates of the current population resident in Spain, its Autonomous Communities and province will be carried out, for different dates of the reference quarter, broken down by sex, age and other basic demographic characteristics
To this end, an ongoing monitoring of short-term demographics will be carried out, using the latest available information, and in addition, the methodological and technical innovations enabling the improvement of the estimation mechanism will be studied and applied
The results, broken down by sex, age and province, will be disseminated externally in January and July, referring to 1 January and 1 July, respectively
Internal and external requests for information regarding the results of the Population Now Cast will be met.
