Institutions that intervene
INE, Statistics Institutes of all of the Autonomous Communities, Civil Registers and Central Civil Register (MJUS), Spanish Consulates abroad (MAEC)
Works that will be carried out in the year 2009
The civil registers of all of the municipalities fill out the section corresponding to the Civil Register in the statistical bulletins on births, marriages and deaths, and send the bulletins each month to the provincial delegations of the INE
The Statistics Bodies of the Autonomous Communities (based on the existing Partnership Agreements) compile and send the INE the annual files with the filtered and imputed information from all of the events registered in their Autonomous Community
In turn, the Central Civil Register provides the register books of the registrations of births, marriages and deaths of Spaniards abroad carried out in the Spanish consular offices abroad, using the information notified by the consulates
Computer filtering and processing of the data for the year 2008, and of the information on those Spaniards abroad for the year 2007, up until September 2009.
Dissemination and publication of the provisional data for the year 2008 in May 2009.
Dissemination and publication of the final data for the year 2008, and of the Spaniards abroad in 2007, in November 2009.
Coordination of the tasks envisaged in the collaboration agreements with the Autonomous Communities.
Obtaining and dispatch of files on deaths and marriages, for each month of the year 2009, to the Directorate General for Registers and Notaries.
Compilation of external requests
On 1 January 2009, the new statistical death bulletin, adapted to OCR techniques, will be implemented.
The civil registers of all of the municipalities fill out the section corresponding to the Civil Register in the statistical bulletins on births, marriages and deaths, and send the statistical bulletins of the events registered in the Civil Register each month to the provincial delegations of the INE.
