The basin bodies, as parties responsible for the chemical state control networks, prepare the guidelines for the contracts on the sample collection and analysis thereof, and send the data obtained each six months to the ministry, which is in charge of the aforementioned work. The Hydrographic Study Centre (Centre for Public Works Studies and Experimentation) helps some of the basic bodies in carrying out certain analyses, and each six months, turn in the data in the exchange file. The Geological and Mining Institute of Spain collaborates with the ministry and the basin bodies in the information collection and in the preparation of reports.
