Main results
- In July, 209,132 properties were registered in the property registers, 9.9% more than in the same month of the previous year.
- The number of registered property sales and purchases increased by 13.7% compared with July 2024.
The number of property transfers recorded in the property registers (from previously executed public deeds) in July was 209,132, which was 9.9% more than in the same month in 2024.
As regards registered property sales, the number of transfers was 122,097, an annual increase of 13.6%.

88.6% of registered sales in July were urban properties and 11.4% were rural properties. In the case of urban properties, 59.8% were house purchases and sales.
In July, the number of sales of rural properties increased by 6.6% in terms of the annual rate and that of urban properties by 14.6%. Within the latter, housing sales recorded an annual rise of 13.7%.
In July, 93.1% of the housing transferred by sale and purchase were free and 6.9% were social housing.
In annual terms, the number of transfers of free dwellings by sales and purchasing increased by 14.9%, and that of protected dwellings decreased by 0.5%.
21.1% of the homes sold in July were new and 78.9% were used.
The number of new home transactions increased by 22.3% compared with February 2024 and the number of used ones by 11.6%.
La Rioja (23.3%%), Extremadura (15.7%) and Illes Balears (15.0%) recorded the highest annual rates of change in the total number of properties transferred in July.
On the other hand, Cantabria (-4.7%), Canarias (2.9%) and Región de Murcia (3.6%) presented the lowest annual rates.
Regarding the registered housing sales and purchases, the Autonomous Communities with the highest increases were Extremadura (28.0%), Aragón (23.8%) and Castilla-La Mancha (21.1%).
In turn, Comunidad Foral de Navarra (-15.7%), and Cantabria (-5.9%) registered declines.

The data for 2025 are provisional and will be reviewed when the data for the same period next year are published. Coinciding with today's publication, the INE has updated the data for the Transfer of Property Rights series for the months of July to December 2024, as well as the annual data for 2024. All the results of this operation are available at INEbase.

All information on transfers of property is taken from the information contained in the Land Registers for the whole country, by virtue of a partnership agreement signed in 2004 by both institutions.
