Industrial Price Index. 2021 Baseline

June 2025. Provisional data

Main results

  • The annual variation of the Industrial Price Index increased by 0.9 points in June to 0.8%.
  • The monthly rate of industrial prices was 3.2%.

The annual rate of the overall Industrial Price Index (IPRI) was 0.8% in June, 0.9 points higher than that registered in May.

By the economic use of the goods, the only industrial sector that had a notably positive effect on the annual rate of the General IPRI was:

  • Energy, whose annual rate increased 4.1 points of a percentage point to 3.5%. This behaviour was due to the rising prices in Electric power generation, transmission and distribution, higher than the same month in the previous year, and to higher prices in Manufacture of refined petroleum products, which fell in June 2024.

Meanwhile, standing out among the industrial sectors that had a negative influence on the evolution of the rate was:

  • Intermediate goods, with a variation of -0.7%, four tenths below that of May, due to the decrease in Manufacture of animal feed product prices, compared with the increase in same month of the previous year.

The annual variation rate of the general index excluding Energy decreased by one tenth, to -0.6%, standing nearly 1.4 points below that of the general IPRI.
