  • 1) A recipient is defined as a household member who has an annual personal income of more than 1,000 euros. Personal income includes income from employment, profits/losses from self-employment, social benefits and income from private pension schemes.
    2) Number of recipients: Not classifiable includes households where there is no personal income earner (or where the personal income does not exceed 1,000 euros per year).
    3) A person is considered to have experienced difficulties in accessing housing if, at some point in their life, they did not have their own home (owned or rented) to live in and therefore had to stay with friends or relatives, in emergency or temporary accommodation, in a place not intended as a permanent home or had to sleep in public places. Cases where the person lived with their parents while saving to rent or buy their own home are not included. Cases where the person lived in rented accommodation and was saving to buy their own home are also excluded.
