Notes
1) Percentage of people who reported feeling discriminated against for each reason, out of the total number of people who reported having suffered discrimination in at least one of the following contexts: - When contacting any government office or public service. - When trying to rent or buy a property. - When contacting someone in an educational institution (as a parent, guardian or student). - In a public space (shops, cafés, restaurants, leisure or sports facilities, etc.). In each context, people have identified a single main reason for discrimination. As the same person may have experienced discrimination for different reasons in different situations, each reason is treated as a separate variable and not as a value of a single distribution, so the sum of the percentages is not 100 Responses refer to the 12 months prior to the interview, except for the situation When trying to rent or buy a house, which refers to the five years prior to the interview. 2) Other reasons includes income level, occupation, level of education, physical appearance, religion, sexual orientation, etc.
