Notes
1) The year of construction or completion of the last major renovation of the home is considered. 2) It is assumed that homes built in 2022 or later do not need energy efficiency upgrades. 3) Improvements in thermal insulation (such as window replacement or façade renovations) or in the heating system of the home or building are considered energy efficiency improvements. 4) Other reasons: protected historic property, difficulty in reaching an agreement with neighbours or co-owners, etc.
