World Statistics Day

Celebrating the achievements of official statistics

On 20 October (20-10-2010), the first World Statistics Day is being held. Its purpose is to recognise the work carried out by national and international statistics offices. The goal is to highlight their basic principles of service, integrity and professionalism. Data is offered from different international organisations, regarding different economic and social areas, reflecting the enormous body of work carried out by Official statistics.
