Changes in household composition
In the 1991-2001 decade, important modifications occurred in the structure and size of households. There are almost 20% more households than in 1991. The percentage of single-person households increases, the households of couples with 4 or more children decrease, and the number of couples without children increases. Households made up of a family and an unrelated person have multiplied by almost five. Young persons become independent later on in life.
