2012: European Year on Active Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity. Labour market and retirement

The year 2012 has been declared by the European Union to be the European Year on Active Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity (European Parliament and Council Decision no. 940/2011/EU, of 14 September 2011). In the context of this statement, the INE Figures collection will publish, in subsequent numbers, the most relevant statistical results regarding the demographics, labour market and retirement, health, living conditions and social participation of elderly persons in Spain and our European environment.
This issue includes some figures regarding the training, (economic?) activity and departure of elderly persons from the labour market.
