Unpaid internships for university students in the INE

The INE believes that training in statistics is important for preparing future statistics producers and users, and therefore, the use of any medium to promote knowledge is beneficial to this Organisation. The objective, then, is to provide both public and private Universities with an opportunity for collaboration, using the external academic internship system for university students.

These internships, regulated by Royal Decree 592/2014 of 11th July , BOE 30th July 2014, have the purpose of promoting the incorporation of students as interns within the scope of the public administrations, and within the scope of private companies, fostering the employment of future professionals, strengthening their ability for entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, and answering the commitment with an economic transformation based on the knowledge society.
