Results with COICOP 2018 classificationIn 2024, the new United Nations (UN) international consumer classification, called COICOP 2018, was incorporated into the EPF. An expanded COICOP 2018/Collection classification was used in the collection. The tabulation uses both the UN COICOP 2018 and a new COICOP 2018/EPF classification to group the information for greater consistency.

Comparability of informationThe comparability of the 2024 information with that of the previous year has been achieved by recalculating the 2023 data to adapt them to the new classification of goods and services. To obtain a comparable series, the tables for 2023 and previous years up to 2016 will be reviewed in December 2025, which will allow for homogeneous series with the new 2018 COICOP.
