Non-hotel Tourist Accommodation Occupancy Survey. February 2026. Provisional data 31 March 2026

Overnight stays in non-hotel tourist accommodation increased by 0.2% in February compared to the same month in 2025. Overnight stays in apartments increased by 0.8% and those in rural tourism by 2.4% compared to the same month in 2025. In contrast, those in campsites decreased by 1.4% and those in hostels by 4.4%.

The Rural Tourism Accommodation Occupancy Survey provides information on the supply and demand for this type of accommodation, registered as such in each Autonomous Community¿s corresponding Tourism Department. From the point view of demand, information is provided on travellers, overnight and average stays, distributed by country of residence of travellers or by Autonomous Community of origin in the case of Spanish travellers; from the supply point of view information on estimated number of establishments open, estimated vacancies, occupancy rates as well as information on employment in the sector is provided. This information is provided monthly, at the following levels: national, Autonomous Community, provincial, tourist area and tourist spot.

The Rural Tourism Accommodation Price Index measures the monthly evolution of the prices that establishments apply to their clients. It provides information at the national level broken down by type of rates and by rent modality.
