4827Official Aid for Development (OAD) in Spain

  • Follow up of the annual plan for international cooperation: between 1 January and 31 March all attributable interventions are covered as an official aid for development made by the Spanish public administrations the previous year. The information compiled enables calculating the ratio AOD/RNB in addition to the principal magnitudes for Spanish aid. The analysis includes both bilateral interventions and contributions to multilateral institutions. The result is published in the second quarter of the year by the Directorate General for Planning and Evaluation of Development Policies (DGPOLDE) in a volume called "Follow up - PACI 2005". Subsequently, this information is conveyed to the committee for help for development of the OECD, delegated by their member states to quantify the official annual aid for development.
  • Annual international cooperation plan: between 1 September and 31 October the DGPOLDE covers all interventions set out by the public administrations in the scope of the AOD for 2007. With this information, the base document and budgetary framework for the annual international cooperation plan are prepared which, after approved by the Council of Ministers is published in December.
