Calculation method

For the term ¿forest¿, wooded forest area is considered as a surface area with tree forest species as a plant manifestation with a dominant vertical structure with a fraction of a covered area of more than or equal to 10%. This data is calculated in the Forest Map of Spain and published in the Spanish Inventory of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity (IEPNB) and Yearbook of Forest Statistics.
