Definition

Number of refugees (or assimilated refugees) per 100,000 inhabitants, broken down by sex, age, nationality and autonomous community.

Calculation method

\where R is the number of refugees in year t and P is the total population in the same year.

The number of refugees (or assimilated refugees) is obtained from refugee and subsidiary protection identity cards and temporary residence permits for exceptional circumstances in force on 31 December.

For the breakdown by nationality, only the foreign population on 1 January is taken into account.
