Target

Target 2.2. By 2030, end all forms of malnutrition, including achieving, by 2025, the internationally agreed targets on stunting and wasting in children under 5 years of age, and address the nutritional needs of adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating women and older persons.

Obesity rate in the adult population

Calculation method

This indicator measures the percentage of adults with obesity according to their body mass index (BMI). This index is defined as \[IMC=\frac{M}{H^2}\]  
where M is the mass or weight expressed in kilograms and H is the height of the individual expressed in metres. Obesity is considered if  \(IMC\geq 30\).
