Calculation method

The data on passenger-kilometres have been obtained by multiplying the number of outbound passengers with domestic destinations registered at the airports managed by Aena S.M.E., S.A. by the actual straight-line distance between airports, plus an additional 95 kilometres as established by Eurocontrol (ETS Directive). This value of 95 kilometres is an average calculated on the basis of real data and is intended to reflect minor route deviations and approach manoeuvres (except for the heliports AEI: Algeciras and JCU: Ceuta)
