Observations

Sources: Primary Care Clinical Database (BDCAP). Its data come from an annual sample of more than 12.5 million medical records. Hemoglobin testing is not performed on all individuals in the sample; it is indicated using clinical criteria. Estimates of anemia prevalence are based on a selection of autonomous communities that report the data.

Currently, the custodial agency uses its own estimation procedure.
