Definition
The Statistics on Public Finance and Expenditure on Culture (official annual statistics) provides information on the annual public expenditure paid in culture, in the recognized obligations phase, carried out by the administration in each of its areas, state, autonomous and local, as well as its breakdown by economic nature and destination of the expenditure. The information is collected in a coordinated way from the Ministry of Culture and Sport (MCUD) in the three administrations according to homogeneous models. The expenditure on heritage reflects the liquidated in Historical and Artistic Heritage (such as historical monuments, museums, archaeological sites, etc.), archives and libraries, in line with the UNESCO questionnaire.
Calculation method
It is used as a source the Statistics on Public Finance and Spending on Culture, considering the public expenditure settled on Heritage, archives and libraries by the three state, regional and local administrations. It does not collect intergovernmental transfers and therefore no consolidation is carried out between administrations. Within each administration, the expenditure has been consolidated by eliminating the double accounting derived from internal transfers considering the movements between its general administrations and their dependent entities.
