Description
Measures the total domestic value added generated in Spain and embodied in the exports of other EU-27 countries.
Observations
Example: The value added generated in the Spanish economy and embodied in the total exports of France was 13,180 million euros in 2023.
Calculation method
\(\sum_{\substack{z \neq s}} v^{\text{ES}} C^{(s)ES, z} A^{z,s} L^{s} e^{s} \quad \text{con} \quad s =\text{Exporting country} \quad y \quad z =\text{Rest of countries} \)
Where: \(v^{\text{ES}}\) is the value added multiplier of the industries in the Spanish economy, \(C^{(s)ES, z}\) represents the Spanish production required to meet the demand of \(z\), \(A^{z,s}\) reflects the inputs from \(z\) to \(s\) used in the production process, \(L^{s}\) is the local Leontief inverse for the exporting economy and \(e^{\text{s}} \) denotes the exports of each industry in the exporting country.
