Experimental Statistic. Estimation of tourist accommodation occupancy using data from digital platforms

The main objective of these experimental statistics is to complement the information from traditional occupancy surveys in the area of the Tourist accommodation and other short-stay accommodation group, which is the group that has the greatest presence on digital platforms and in which the phenomenon of the collaborative economy (the origin of these platforms) has the greatest impact.

A wide range of accommodation typologies are included in the scope of these statistics, ranging from holiday dwellings, tourist hostels, rural houses, etc, as well as dwellings for tourist use.
