Passenger Transport Statistics (PT)
August 2025. Provisional data. The number of passengers using public transport increased by 2.6% in August, as compared with the same month of 2024. The annual rate for city transport increased by 4.0% and for inter-city transport decreased by 1.4%.
Mercantile Companies Statistics (MC)
August 2025. Provisional data. The number of mercantile companies increased by 3.4% in August compared to the same month in 2024. The number of dissolved companies decreased by 6.2% year-on-year.
Industrial Production Index (IPI)
August 2025. Provisional data. The annual rate of the Industrial Production Index stood at 3.4% in the seasonally and calendar adjusted series and 0.4 in the original series. The monthly change in the Industrial Production Index was -0.1% if seasonal and calendar effects are eliminated.
Tourist Movements at Borders (FRONTUR)
August 2025. Provisional data. Spain received 11.3 million international tourists in August, 2.9% more than in the same month of 2024. In the first eight months of 2025, the number of international tourists arriving in Spain reached its highest level, approaching 66.8 million.
Total Expenditure Survey
August 2025. Provisional data. The total expenditure of international tourists visiting Spain in August increased by 6.7% and reached 16,390 million euros. The average daily expenditure increased by 4.9% to 198 euros.
Non-hotel Tourist Accommodation Occupancy Survey
August 2025. Provisional data. Overnight stays in non-hotel tourist accommodation increased by 0.6% in August compared to the same month in 2024. Overnight stays in apartments increased by 1.5% and those in campsites by 0.6% compared to the same month in 2024. In contrast, those in rural tourism decreased by 1.9% and those in hostels by 3.1%.
