Observations

In July 2024, the time series since 2016 has been recalculated to include both basic causes and multiple causes of death, in accordance with the new methodology of the Operation “Death Statistics by Cause of Death” and with the international criteria of the World Health Organization. To avoid a break in the series, only data from 2016 onwards are presented.
