Goal 6. Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all
Target 6.3. By 2030, improve water quality by reducing pollution, eliminating dumping and minimizing release of hazardous chemicals and materials, halving the proportion of untreated wastewater and substantially increasing recycling and safe reuse globally.
Indicator 6.3.2. Proportion of bodies of water with good ambient water quality

For the year 2015 data are provided for the first cycle basin hydrological plans (2009-2015). And for the years 2017 for the second cycle (2015-2021). The hydrological plans have a comprehensive review of the data on a six-year basis, although partial reviews are carried out annually. The concept "good quality" is associated with "good state" of the masses according to Directive 2000/60/EEC or Water Framework Directive. Where the assessment of whether bodies of surface water of the river and lake categories comply with good chemical status is carried out according to the criteria established by Royal Decree 817/2015 of 11 September, establishing the criteria for monitoring and evaluation of ecological status and environmental quality standards
