The annual change of the CPI for the month of April stands at -0.7%, seven tenths below as the previous month. The annual change of core inflation is 1.1%.

This month, the annual variation rate of the HICP stood at -0.7%, eight tenths below the recorded the previous month.
In March, 6,767 mercantile companies were created, 28.3% less than in the same month of 2019.
The number of passengers using public transport decreases by 53.0% in March, as compared with the same month of 2019.
The annual rate for city transport decreases by 54.7% and for inter-city transport by 52.4%.
In March, 137,629 properties are registered in the land registers, 28.9% less than in the same month of the previous year. Registered housing sales decreases by 18.6%, as compared with the same month of the previous year.
The number of debtors processed increases by 22.3% in the annual rate in the first quarter of 2020.
The monthly variation stands at -11.9%, after adjusting the seasonal and calendar effects. The annual rate of the Industrial Production Index stands at -12.2% in the series adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects and -10.2% in the original.

Total expenditure by international tourists visiting Spain in March decreases by 63.3% compared with the same month of 2019. Average expenditure per day of stay stands at 152 euros, 0.9% more than March 2019.
Spain received 2.0 million international tourists in March, 64.3% less than in the same month of 2019.
The annual variation rate of the IPRIX stands at -2.2%, almost two tenths below than that of the previous month. The annual rate of the IPRIM is -4.2%,two point and a half below than that registered in the previous month.
Overnight stays in non-hotel tourist accommodation decrease 63.2% this month as compared with the same month of previous year.

The entry into force of the Order SND / 257/2020 of March 19 has motivated the opening to the public of all tourist establishments to be suspended, leaving its tourist activity paralysed from March 26. As the information collection was carried out during the first fortnight of April, with the stablishments closed to the public, the response rate has been lower than usual. Therefore, the INE has determined that the data at the national level and by Autonomous Community have sufficient quality for its dissemination, while the information at the provincial and / or zone and tourist point level does not meet the minimum quality standard for its dissemination.
