Plan de Actuación 2026

This implements the 2024-2026 Triennial Action Plan, in accordance with Law 40/2015 of RJSP (Legal Regime of the Public Sector) for the year 2026. The INE undertakes to work towards achieving the objectives of this Action Plan, to periodically assess the degree of compliance with it and to take the appropriate measures to implement its fulfilment.

1 January 2026. Provisional data. The population of Spain increased by 81,520 during the fourth quarter of 2025, standing at 49,570,725 inhabitants on 1 January 2026. Spain exceeds 10 million foreign-born inhabitants for the first time. The main immigrant nationalities were Colombian, Venezuelan and Moroccan.
