Description
This indicator shows the trend in the marine surface under some protection figure.
Calculation method

Total marine protected area values are determined by digital mapping of the protected areas included in the Spanish Inventory of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity (Protected Natural Spaces, Natura Network 2000 or Areas protected by international instruments) without overlaps between the different types of areas.
