August 2026. Provisional data. Spain received 12.3 million international tourists in August, 9.2% more than in the same month of 2025. In the first eight months of 2026, the number of tourists rose by 5.4%.

August 2026. Provisional data. The total expenditure of international tourists visiting Spain in August increased by 9.2% and reached 17.838 million euros. The average daily expenditure increased by 1.9% to 202 euros.

European Union (EU) Citizens. Citizens of the European Union will be able to vote in the local elections if they express their intention to exercise that right in Spain. The deadline for expressing the intention to vote in the forthcoming local elections is 30 December 2026.

Regional Gross Domestic Product. 2023-2025 Series. Región de Murcia was the autonomous community with the highest GDP growth in volume terms in 2025 (3.8%). It was followed by Extremadura (3.2%), La Rioja and Castilla y León (both 3.0%). The autonomous communities with the lowest GDP variation rates in terms of volume were Cantabria (1.7%), Principado de Asturias and País Vasco (both 1.9%).

1995-2025. The INE presents today the estimates of the annual aggregates by industry of the national economy corresponding to the perior 1995-2025 of the Annual Spanish National Accounts.

Second Quarter 2026. The financing capacity of the national economy compared with the rest of the world stood at 13,654 million euros in the aecond quarter of 2026. Gross national income reached 445,106 million euros and the gross national disposable income stood at 440,957 million euros.

August 2026. Provisional data. The annual rate of the IPRIX stood at 5.5% in August, 1.1 tenths of a percentage point higher than in July. The annual variation of the IPRIM was 7.1%, 1.5 points higher than in the previous month.

Year 2025 - Preview. 15.5% of women did not wish to have children in 2025, compared with 12.3% in 2018. Almost seven out of ten women wished to have at least two children. 34.8% of women said they had fewer children than they wanted.

September 2026. The annual change in the flash estimate of the CPI stands at 4.9% in September, six tenths of a percentage point higher than in August. The annual rate of the flash indicator of underlying inflation raises two tenths of a percentage point to 3.1%.
